Benefits and Risks of Exotic Biological Control Agents

2nd meeting of the IOBC/WPRS Working Group “Benefits and risks
of exotic biological control agents”, October 30 - November 3, 2011

The aim of the working group is to offer a forum for exchange of information and to stimulate contacts and cooperation between scientists working in the field of benefits and risks of exotic biological control agents. The meeting will focus on the ecology of invasive alien predators and parasitoids.

The congress venue is in a beautiful setting of the Hluboká castle park, just a few steps from the castle itself. The hotel is built in the style reminding the castle interior, so you will feel like being an aristocrat several centuries ago, especially if you will choose one of the few suites available.

Field trip to the Sumava National Park will also be offered.

IMPORTANT: We have money to cover the accommodation and fee for several students in a shared room (the student must pay the difference for a single room, if required and must also pay for his/her travel to Prague and back). Those interested please submit the Registration form and Abstract according to the instructions at this website; in the body text of the email state that you are asking for the grant. The decision will now be done on the first-come-first-serve basis and you will be notified within a few days from receipt of your email message.
